One-Off Homes

One-Off Homes Stronghold ICF

At Stronghold ICF, we specialise in delivering durable, energy-efficient one-off homes built with the speed and strength of Insulated Concrete Formwork. We work closely with homeowners across Munster to bring their vision to life, creating homes designed around their exact needs and built within a reliable timeframe – typically four to five weeks for the full superstructure.

Our mission is simple: to make high-quality, sustainable homes more accessible by offering a building method that is strong, efficient, and far quicker than traditional construction. From your first conversation with us, we stay focused on clear communication, accuracy, and completing your project exactly as outlined from day one.

If you’re planning a new home and would like expert guidance, get in touch with us anytime – we’re always happy to help.

How It Works

Before any work begins, we place a strong emphasis on design and planning. Getting this stage right ensures you have a clear outline of the budget, timeline, and final outcome.

Once the design is approved, we begin construction by completing the foundation and then building the superstructure using ICF. Each floor is typically completed within one week, all overseen by a dedicated project manager.

Most homes reach full structure completion within 4–5 weeks, depending on floor systems and project scope. From there, the building can be brought to a weather-tight stage quickly, allowing the next stages of construction to progress without delay.

For this modern home in West Limerick, we used the Castleforms 360 mm ICF block to deliver a durable, energy-efficient structure. Extensive cast-in-situ beams were incorporated to support the expansive corner glazing and other large openings—showcasing the versatility and strength of ICF construction in Ireland.

This bespoke home in Clare was built with the Castleforms 360 mm ICF block system, with the entire main structure and gables completed in one seamless pour. This method ensured superior build quality, improved thermal performance, and long-term durability for the homeowner.
